Birdlice
These little insects are so small they are sometimes hard to detect and people don't know why they are becoming itchy and having to scratch all the time.
Bird Lice are normally associated with birds nesting in roof spaces, usually between the tiles and eaves. The most common culprit is the Indian Myna bird.
Occupants should monitor the roof line of the house to determine where the birds are landing, as that is where their nest will be and where the bird lice are coming from. Often, the birds gain entry due to broken or mis-laid roof tiles or ridge capping. This will need to be repaired to prevent future infestations.
North Shore Pest Control can usually perform temporary proofing to restrict the birds entry, The roof void and adjacent rooms can then be treated to eradicate the bird lice.
